Finance IT Project Manager

What you ll be doing...

This Tax Project Manager (PM) will focus on the area supported under the Tax Department s internal IT organization. The PM will drive the phases for mandatory, strategic and optional programs and projects, manage client accounts and maintain relationships with decision makers at the executive and management levels on the roadmap for these systems.

This PM is responsible for gaining a thorough understanding of business needs, objectives, priorities, Return on Investment (ROI), and benefits including how they are calculated. Furthermore, this PM will work with the business to develop an accurate and aligned priority 1- n list (ranking the programs in priority order), track the associated benefits as the programs and projects are implemented and any metrics developed in partnership with the users. This PM will engage senior managers across our business partners in Tax and IT across all IT CIO organizations impacted to identify complex and significant business issues, process improvement opportunities, and working with key stakeholders to implement changes. Finally ensure alignment across stakeholders to deliver programs successfully and drive issue resolutions when required to minimize schedule delays.

What we re looking for...

  • Qualified candidate will have a bachelor degree. Master s degree or certification in project management is preferred. Candidate should have at least 3-5 years of project management experience in finance, information systems, and Tax implementations
  • Strong communications skills (both written and verbal) and the ability to communicate across multiple audiences (business and Information Technology), including executive level
  • Working knowledge of the software development life cycle
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office/Google Suite
  • Experience using Clarity PPM and Sharepoint preferred
  • Be a strong facilitator and lead cross-functional and cross- Information Technology CIO development team meetings to confirm requirements, resolve issues and report progress during the various lifecycle phases. Be able to analyze the situations and develop alternative approaches to addressing issues, recommend solutions and lead the implementation of management decisions.
  • Outstanding organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple programs
  • Strong track record of achieving results in distributed/virtual teams
  • Strong team player with solid interpersonal skills and proven ability to work collaboratively across teams



Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
